Why Taking My Time Paved My Way to Come Back

‘Taking time,’ a well-known phrase that describes one’s own preferred pace or time to use in doing something or slowing down from one’s usual activities or daily routines. In this fast-paced world where everything requires haste and immediacy, taking time for some people has become a mere idea, an idea that they would want to savor but the loads of work to do won’t allow them.   On the contrary, many people have also cherished the essence of taking one’s time. Gratefully, I am one of them. I, myself, have found the beauty of taking my time off and that is the reason behind my hiatus from writing. You may notice my temporary break from this social media platform for a year. But now, I am here again facing my laptop screen with my slightly shaking hands on the keyboard. I have never been this exuberant before, now that I am back!   Well, if you’d ask how did I take my time? I took time for the most essentials in life. I took my time for my family, for my immersed tasks with my amazing clients, and mostly, I took my time for myself. Coming out from the shell of agonizing, life-altering events of my life, I took time to heal before I could finally do.   No, I wouldn’t talk about how bitter these experiences are. This writing is an intent to impart the beauty of such experiences and how it has shaped the kind of woman that I am today. I want everyone to know that bitterness can be savored, especially, when one has gone through...
Five Tips For An Effective Pursuit Of Happiness

Five Tips For An Effective Pursuit Of Happiness

The pursuit of happiness has impelled people to course the factors they think unlock it. These factors may include wealth, body goals, economic status, relationships, and other standards set by the society. However, improving one’s life circumstances is not really the secret in boosting the happiness level. Sonja Lyubomirsky, a Psychology professor, explicated that it is an individual’s choice of activity, decision, and control that institutes self-happiness. Thus, happiness is a choice, not a serendipity. To effectively establish this, here are some helpful tips on how to hack and install happiness in your life. This is greatly based on Lyubomirsky’s cognitive and behavioral strategies for improving the level of happiness. Tip 1: Count every blessing. Being optimistic in this world full of bitterness, rejections, judgment, and fake happy faces may not seem so easy. However, having a positive outlook on life is accessible if you would only allow it to reside in your heart. But of course, the question emerges: if your life has been a total wreck, how can you even be optimistic? Well, to that recourse, Lyubomirsk asserted that counting the blessings you once received and the forthcoming ones may be a great help. This is somehow not a trouble-free deed to do. However, by pondering happy thoughts and surrounding yourself with optimistic people can help you achieve this. Tip 2: Never ever forget: “Life is short.” If perceived negatively, this phrase may seem to dispirit the heart because it’s a mere fact that we may die anytime. Howbeit, discerning it positively is a contributing factor to be happy. Yes, life is really short and this means that we...

VA Attitude – 10 Ways to Become a Better Person

It’s been quite a while and I miss blogging. As a VA Coach at the same time an entrepreneur, I have been obviously busy and trying my best to update this blog site to help you with your online career. I will hopefully go back on track with daily posting with at least developing positive VA attitude towards a successful virtual assistant career. I’m telling you, it’s not all about hard work and money to get through success, it takes a lot of perseverance and positivity. As an entrepreneur, I aim to get better every single day. Thus, I have a strong interest in personal growth. This, of course, can’t be done by myself alone. So, here are a few things I do and will always do: Choose a good company. Surround yourself with positive people. Hang out with friends who are smarter than you and learn from them. Don’t waste time with less important things and people. Use time wisely. Don’t judge people. In order to do that, put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself how it feels to be judged. If you have mistakes in the past, make sure not to do it again. Rather, learn from it. If you unintentionally hurt someone, if there’s a chance for a confrontation, that would be good but if none just think about that ‘Everything happens for a reason‘. Use Facebook wisely. Don’t overspend time with it. 10-15 minutes is okay. Don’t stalk people. Don’t post negative statuses. Instead, try to post encouraging statuses that your friends can relate to. Let’s bring positive vibes on the internet. If you’re down, you don’t have to...
